Full Tilt increasing Iron Man points requirements

Today as I logged in and got ready to play, I checked my status on Full Tilt's Iron Man web page -- I knew I had to make 100 points to reach the next level of play.

But then I discovered the tables had turned. The website has increased the required daily points from 100 to 125 and 200 to 250.

For most players, it isn't a big deal. For others, it would be like going onto a football field and learning you have to make 12.5 yards instead of 10 yards for a first down.

What I dislike about it is the change happened on the last day of a month in which players already have locked up (or thought they locked up) the required number of daily points to reach certain levels.

There should have been an announcement saying, "Starting Oct. 1, the required points will increase" and not "Surprise, all your work for the month is now shot. Good luck next month."

  • Is this for real? Are you sure it's retroactive for the previous month? That strikes me as very odd that they would do that - an "Oh, by the way..." type of informational disclosure. It doesn't make a lot of sense.

  • As far as I know. I was all set to make Gold this month with 100 point months and had already reached Silver.

This morning I was back to Bronze level and only qualified for Silver when I had more than 50 points.

Maybe they announced it previously but I've been closely following my points this month because I knew I could only get Gold level this month by playing 100 points the last two days and buying two days.

  • That is absurd. I would certainly write them an email & request that they credit you in full for gold. You are a consistent player who plays volume on a monthly basis. They should be catering to you, not screwing you. I'm curious about my status - I'll look when I get home.

  • Ya, that's a good idea. I wonder if they intended to have the new website update for tomorrow instead of today?

  • I can't help but think exactly that. Any chance you want to put a blog post up about the details of the Black Card program?
